The use of defoaming agents in dyeing and finishing
In the printing and dyeing of knitted fabrics, bubbling will cause the fabric to float on the water. In severe cases, undesirable phenomena such as cloth blocking may occur. So what about the use of defoaming agents in dyeing and finishing?
1. Technical characteristics
Defoaming agents are some active agents that use organic matter such as alcohol, ether and silicone oil to soak into the surface of the material. After use, they will extend outwards, causing the foam to thin and destroy the air-liquid interface. After the directional molecules appear, an adsorption layer is formed. Eventually the bubble burst.
2. Some characteristics must be paid attention to during use.
Choose defoaming agents that have faster defoaming speed and long-lasting foam suppression; they must be easily soluble in water and should be easy to operate. This kind of defoaming agent is most suitable for working among non-ionic surfactants, and its use effect is very good.
