PVA special defoamer solves the foam crisis
The Chinese name of polyvinyl alcohol is polyvinyl alcohol. After special treatment, it has unique strong adhesion, film flexibility, smoothness, oil resistance, solvent resistance, protective colloid, gas barrier, wear resistance and water resistance. Therefore, in addition to being used as a fiber raw material, PVA is also widely used in the production of coatings, adhesives, paper processing agents, emulsifiers, dispersants, films and other products. When using PVA, it is usually used in the downstream process by using its ability to dissolve in water after the product is prepared into an aqueous solution of a certain concentration according to production requirements. However, during the dissolution process of polyvinyl alcohol, there will be a large amount of foam, which will have an adverse effect on production. However, using a special defoamer for PVA, production can be carried out easily.
If untreated PVA foams, there will be the following effects:
1.. Decreased production capacity. In order to accommodate the foam and prevent overflow, the supply in the cooking pot and other equipment should be reduced by about 10-3.0% during the dissolution process, resulting in reduced production.
2.. Increased production costs. Because the foam remains in the solution, the reaction cycle is extended, power consumption increases, and the single-pot output decreases, which leads to increased production costs.
3. The foam in the solution may be brought into the product, thus affecting the use and quality of the product.
PVA special defoamer is a defoamer refined by modified polyether silicone through a special process. The defoamer has good thermal stability and chemical stability, can produce stable unbalanced surface tension in the foam, control the foam throughout the production process, eliminate bubbles of various sizes, and improve product quality. It is a high-efficiency defoamer that can both suppress foam for a long time and quickly defoam. Especially for small and abundant vesicles, it has the functions of rapid defoaming and defoaming.
