How to dilute defoamer with boiling water
In industrial production, the role of production additives or auxiliary agents is very prominent, but if these agents cannot be diluted and used correctly, their actual effectiveness will also be affected. Take defoamer products as an example, the same is true. So, in actual use, how to dilute the defoamer correctly? How about diluting with boiling water?
According to experts in the region who are specialized in the research and development and production of polyether defoamer products, in the daily use of defoamers, more or less, you will encounter the problem of defoamer dilution. You must be curious whether it can be diluted with water and whether it can be used after dilution? The introduction of the correct dilution and use of defoamers is mainly manifested in the following aspects:
1. The defects of diluting defoamers with water
(1) Easy to stratify. Diluting the defoamer with water breaks the viscosity system of the defoamer itself, so it will produce stratification, making the appearance of the defoamer look very uneven, and even white floating will appear.
(2)The defoaming and anti-foaming performance is deteriorated. The defoamer with water added will obviously reduce the effective content, that is, the so-called solid content will be seriously affected. In such a low solid content, the defoaming performance will be greatly reduced.
(3)Poor stability. When diluting the defoamer directly with water, the defoamer dosage and dilution ratio cannot be guaranteed to be consistent every time, so the stability of the defoamer will deteriorate. Sometimes the defoaming performance may be poor, and sometimes the defoaming performance may be good, and the stability cannot be guaranteed.
2. Under what circumstances can water be used for dilution
There are certain defects in diluting the defoamer with water, so does this mean that the defoamer cannot be diluted with water? Of course, not all of them, in some cases it can be directly diluted with water for use. If you are an end customer and use it on the spot, then you can consider diluting it directly with water, so that the production will not be affected too much. At that time, it is necessary to ensure that it is diluted and used on the same day.
3. Under what circumstances can water not be used to dilute the product?
If you are not an end customer and are not using the product at the time, we do not recommend that you use water to dilute the product, because it will cause a series of defects in the product and affect the storage of the product. If it is left for a long time, it will deteriorate and eventually even production will be affected.
