Five major issues you need to pay attention to when using defoaming agents
Today I will briefly introduce to you the five major issues you need to pay attention to when using defoaming agents.
1. It must be stirred thoroughly before use. Generally, it does not need to be diluted with water and can be added directly. If it needs to be diluted, it can be mixed and used.
2. Add the paint while stirring so that the defoaming agent can enter the system.
3. In order to achieve a good defoaming effect, it is best to add it in two times. For the first time, add half of the total amount when preparing the paint, and then add the other half after grinding.
4. The amount of defoaming agent should be appropriate. Adding too much will cause side effects and cause shrinkage and other problems in the paint film. Adding a small amount will not achieve the defoaming effect.
5. After adding the defoaming agent, it must be at least 24 hours before testing the performance of the coating. Because the defoaming agent is durable, otherwise product quality problems such as shrinkage holes will occur.
