Application of defoaming agents in industrial glue
Glue defoamer plays a very important role in the process of making glue. It is mainly used to eliminate foam impurities produced during the glue making process so that the performance of the glue is not affected by foam. This approach has attracted the attention of many manufacturers. Because some manufacturers have to stop production due to foaming in glue production, small-scale enterprises may not suffer much losses, but the cost losses of large-scale enterprises are difficult to estimate.
First of all, let us explain to you where the foam that appears in glue production comes from.
It turns out that in order to improve the performance of glue and enable their products to occupy a place in the market, various manufacturers will add a certain amount of chemical aids or additives to help increase the viscosity.
However, there is a risk of foaming in this step. Most of these additives are surfactants, which contain substances that are prone to foaming. They can easily produce active chemical reactions and form chemical foams under machine or manual stirring. This is undoubtedly not conducive to glue production.
These foams often reduce the viscosity of the glue, worsen its performance, and may even reduce the life of machinery and equipment. In severe cases, they may cause a certain degree of environmental pollution. Therefore, it is urgent to rectify glue foam.
Glue defoaming agent is a defoaming agent developed entirely for foam. It can quickly eliminate large and fine bubbles produced by acrylic emulsions, water-based polyurethane emulsions, water-based paints, and polymers. It has strong adaptability, stable chemical properties, good leveling performance, and can adapt to high temperature, strong acid and alkali environments without affecting its foam suppression and defoaming properties.
